Counting down to ord is probably like, the most woeful thing that can happen because time will seem to pass by so slowly as you are nearer to the date. But when the day finally arrived, its actually like... hmm, yay. Nothing really special about it. Maybe its also because I've started to settle down during the leave period, but oh well, indeed walking out of the place which you have been "confined" for so long, and thinking that you never have to go back again, is quite, wonderful and emotional.

Met an old BMT mate yesterday while on auto-roam mode. Suddenly everything just came back to us in an instant from 2 years back. Eat, shit, sleep, bleed and counting down to pop together. The very same fellow who asked me have I seen his "lost helmet" around during field camp when he was actually wearing it on his head. Talked about girls and our crushes till late night since we can't seem to sleep, and now he's finally settled down nicely with his partner, talk about old times, heh. Was planning to meet up with the rest of the guys "someday", though i seriously doubt the day will come, but nevertheless, it was still nice talking about it, lol.

So what have I in this "wasteful" 2yrs in the army? I sort of have successfully dissolved any passion I have towards games & design. I got slimmer, and I am more confident and outspoken. I know a thing or 2 about networking and I am invovled in NDP, ha. So i guess i can't really say I've dreadfully wasted this 2 yrs, maybe in terms of career choice. A final note, its really about how you really manage and plan your time inside, because it can actually turn out to be very fruitful.

Working at SingTel now as a CSO, hope I'll slowly settle down and enjoy my job. Preparing for enrolment in SIM too, in september, hope it all goes well. What I want to be after I graduate? I really don't know, maybe I'll soon have the answer, but I do know I have laid out a path before me, and right now, I'm just gonna navigate and find the destination.

Quote: Tough Times Don't Last, Tough People Do

Listen... Keane - Somewhere Only We Know

(PS: Happy Birthday to my Darling... :))

Against all odds, they fought their way to the finals and finally prove doubters wrong by standing on top of the world. So let us savour this moment and coupled with a few pizzas, we celebrate!

(Its heart-wrenching to see zz end his career in such a dramatic way, nevertheless, we thanked him for all the wonderful moments he provide us in his illustrious career, the greatest player of his generation.)

Quote: The greatest griefs are those we cause ourselves.

Listen... L'Arc~en~Ciel - Flower

For my darling and all those who thot I was gone fer good eh?

Basking in the moonlight as night sky glittered brillantly.

A late night Jaz coupled with a glass of wine.

A remedy for a needy heart? As I think to myself,

Taking a small sip, it sensually licked my lips.

I gaze upon my reflection as it glanced back poker-faced,

Yearning for an affectionate tune from a piece of the melody.

It takes time I guess, like the course of good wine.

I laid back slowly and wished the music will never end.

0319

(And so, the world cup have commenced to the last 16s, and I believe italy is a strong contender for the semis, and from then onwards, its all up to themselves.)

Listen... Nakashima Mika - What a Wonderful World

大家好﹐我回來!

該這麼開始呢? hmm, 1st few thingys which I can comment on is the enormous variety of 奶茶, think 算到來 got almost 10+ different brands around the area. 太厲害了吧。Next up is the hygience; with the also amazingly huge population of flies and very polluted air, I'm probably considered lucky enough to suffer from only flu and cough for a week. Just look at the ninja riders(Scooter motorist with real funky masks and jackets) in the city. The bunk conditions are not anywhere better either. The sleeping distance between 2 individuals is no more than an arm's length, and close to 50 personnel in a single room with luggages and no proper cupboards feels more of a refuge camp. The lack of personal space and buzzing mosquitoes is most frustrating indeed. Not to mention the unpredictable flow of water supply where water just stops when there aint enough; meaning no baths, no flushing, no washing of hands :D The kewl thingy is probably the usage of I-net over there. For 10NT (around 50cents) we have 10 minutes of usage, so regular net users do ur math. The canteen here aint much tho, but ya gotta luv the 雞扒 and 木瓜牛奶, roxors!

After almost 2 week of camp acitivites, finally its play time! and we were lucky enough to get check into a 3-star hotel, considering the highest rank in the group was only a 2LT -_- Well nuff of it, we then proceed on a lil exploring round 高雄. If not for a few dudes who are probably better in chinese, I'll be so dead and drown in this 繁體字city = The shopping district is da real deal here with clothez n accessoriez in abundance, n cheap too :D Streets are very narrow and dangerous with stray scooters darting around, imagine traffic opening in bugis street = The 台妹妹s are very J-hype and probably 70% of em have Rainie's latest hairstyle, tho slightly curl. 好Q wor~

Next up is the night market which is basically all food and more food. Local delicacies like ji pa, 花枝丸 台灣香腸n loads of 海鮮 variety, yum huh. Other than that, there are also game stalls around from pellet shootin to mahjong and one which involves knocking out a coin from a white cue ball inside a circle, q kewl too. Quirky stuffs include exotic pet shops, selling critters like giant scorps and wabbits, hedgehogs, 2 headed lizards, green chocobos etc. (serious!) and of coz, misc 伯伯s giving away 打炮 business cards, ahem.

That probably sums up the 11/2 day and 1 night RnR we have. Duration's real pathetic tho. Hardly find anytime to look for 土產 in fact 高雄 hardly have any also. Most of em were gotten from the airport.

Now that I'm being snap back to reality, its back to da same usual routine life again, but I do miss everyone of coz, haw. 台灣's a fun place, and I definitely won't rule out coming back in da near future, next to 台北 of coz, grinz. Lastly, will post up pix if I'm not lazy.

(Every overseas exercise will always be memorable)

Listen: Rainie Yang - 可愛
